Introduction

VMware vSphere Credentials enable secure authenticated scanning of VMware vSphere environments by configuring role-based credentials, including usernames and passwords, within the Portal’s Credentials management interface.

This feature allows security teams to perform comprehensive vulnerability assessments on virtualized infrastructure, ensuring accurate detection of security issues with appropriate access privileges.

By setting up VMware vSphere Credentials, organizations enhance their ability to monitor and secure virtual environments, supporting compliance with security standards and improving risk management through precise, authenticated scans tailored to VMware systems.
