Release Notes October 2024

Release Date: 2024-10-24

Version: 8.35.0.1.el7

Important notice

As our business grows, and with more customers joining us, it has been necessary to grow our infrastructure accordingly to ensure we can continue to offer an ever-improving level of service to our customers.

To meet these needs, it has been necessary to extend the IP range from which scanning may originate.

The additional IPv4 range from which scans may originate is:

185.92.168.0/22

This is in addition to our existing network ranges of:

IPv4
91.216.32.0/24
80.254.228.0/22

IPv6
2001:67c:1084::/48
2a13:5240::/29

These IP ranges are exclusive to Outpost24, and any IP whitelisting for PCI ASV scans should include these ranges.

New Features

Portal

  • We have introduced a new feature that enables users to share vulnerability information directly via email. It is now possible to send details to colleagues and stakeholders and keep track of who received the information and when it was shared.

  • A new section has been added that allows users to browse our entire vulnerability database allowing you to search and explore detailed information directly within the platform.

  • Our tag naming conventions has been updated by restricting semicolons to be used solely for separating keys and values. As part of this change, any existing tags that contained semicolons have been replaced with dashes.

Bug Fixes and Minor Improvements

Portal

  • We have fixed an issue with the sorting algorithm for the Asset Name column to ensure that column sorting is now consistent across all views.

  • Comments will now be sorted by newest first. This improvement enables you to quickly access the most recent comments and discussions.

  • We have improved how we present CVSS scores and severity to avoid duplicated information. The CVSS Score column now shows only the score, and the Severity column displays only the severity.

    image-20241017-081711.png

  • Fixed an issue where when viewing the details of an asset group, categories without findings would be disabled and cached for the next asset detail view, regardless of the number of findings.

  • An issue with the Asset pane responsiveness where resolved in the Asset Groups dashboard , where asset names were truncated with ellipses and lacked tooltips, which interfered with the readability.

  • We have fixed an issue where the scheduled scan window was not being properly taken into account during scans in a Workflow.
