Deploy HIAB on Amazon Web Services

Last Updated: 2021-01-19

Purpose

This article describes all the steps necessary to launch a HIAB image on Amazon Web Services (AWS) using a disk of HIAB for AWS.

Introduction

The Deploy HIAB on Amazon Web Services (AWS) feature enables you to launch the HIAB virtual appliance in the AWS cloud by selecting the appropriate AMI and configuring resources like storage, network, and instance type. This capability allows your organisation to deploy internal vulnerability scanning and asset management in a scalable cloud environment, while leveraging the flexibility and global reach of AWS—reducing on-premises infrastructure dependencies and accelerating your security deployment.

See Amazon documentation on how to launch and use instances for more information.

Make sure that the HIAB image is properly set up on AWS, see Import Cloud Image on AWS for more information.
