CORE Notifications

Purpose

This document describes the Notification function in the CORE.

Introduction

The Notification function alerts when there is a new risk that will become critical and need to be directed to the security teams so that they can take action against it. In the simplest form, alerts can be triggered when new data from scans is received but can ideally come from changes in Farsight data. The alert can be distributed in multiple ways such as UI-notifications or via e-mail.

Configuring Notifications

To access he notification:

  1. Click the Notification Icon in the upper right corner.



  2. The click the Configuration button.

    This displays the Notifications Configuration view where alerts can be configured to be sent like a UI notification or an E-mail.


Note

The E-mail function requires an E-mail address in the field to the right.

If left blank, the E-mail will not be sent.


Reading Notifications

The Notifications button has a red unread notifications badge if there are any unread notifications.

To access he notification:

  1. Click the Notification Icon in the upper right corner.
  2. Select the notification in the list.



  3. Click View Asset or View AppStak depending which tab was selected when opening Notifications. The link redirects you to Asset/AppStak view for that notice.
